Atlanta School of Massage and other Green Spa Network Members were recently featured in the latest issue of American Spa Magazine. Members share their greatest eco-conscious practices that save money and resources.

“As part of our 30th anniversary we redesigned our teaching clinic, SensAbility sm , with environmentally friendly selections including furnishings made with certified sustainable kiln-dried hardwood and soy or plant based polyfibers, carpet made with renewable and recycled content and wall paint containing zero VOC’s” , said Leticia Allen, president, Atlanta School of Massage.

More beneficial tips cited include:

Osmosis Spa – installed high-efficiency, on-demand water heaters that connect to solar panels

Head 2 Toe Mobile Spa – chooses local suppliers for materials and products cutting down on shipping costs and excess carbon usage

Green Earth Massage Sheets (GEMS) – microfiber sheets cut down dramatically on enery and water usage

Spa Anjali – saves 24,000 gallons of water annually (enough to fill the outdoor pool)
